Melting Guidelines

Our mission in the world is to introduce people to each other who might never have met otherwise.
Whenever people come together, especially when accompanied by high expectations and strong emotions, it is important to place special emphasis on the interaction with each other and define a few “rules” or “guidelines”.

1

As a dating app, Melting is aimed exclusively at users who are at least 18 years old and of legal age according to the requirements of their country. If you are not, Melting is not for you (yet).

2

Melting is a place of tolerance and diversity. Any forms of hatred, xenophobia and intolerance towards sexual orientations, gender identities or religious beliefs have no place on Melting.

3

When creating your Melting account, only use your real first name and date of birth. All other information in our pre-filters must also be truthful.

4

Melting has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to any form of harmful behavior. If we reliably determine that a user stalks, threatens, insults, defames, blackmails, bullies, coerces or otherwise harms a person they have met through our platform, or takes actions against their will, this not only results in the account being permanently blocked, but can also have legal consequences.

5

Use Melting exclusively for dating. This excludes use for any other purposes, particularly of a commercial nature, such as for advertising purposes or acquisition.

6

Use Melting to the best of your ability. Use thoughtful and accurate information when evaluating statements. Be aware of the scope and consequences of your information for the success of your search for a suitable person. Anyone who is extremely picky and restrictive in their preferences also has a correspondingly smaller chance of getting to know someone through Melting.

7

Passing on the contact details of other users to third parties or publishing them is strictly prohibited.

8

Uploaded photos must meet the following requirements:

  • Photos must show the account holder.
  • Photos may not show anyone other than the account holder.
    • Group photos are permitted if other people have been made unrecognizable (e.g. by pixelating, blurring or painting over).
    • Photos with other people in the background are also permitted if the photo was taken in public and the other people clearly distinguish themselves from the main subject of the photo.
  • Photos may not contain profile names or other contact information.
  • Photos may not contain advertising or offers of any kind, prohibited symbols or political or religious propaganda.
  • Photos may not contain nudity or sexually explicit depictions.
  • Photos may not depict violence or violent or inappropriate behavior. This applies in particular to depictions of self-injury, violence towards other people or animals, depictions of vandalism and incitement to violence of any kind.
  • You must own the copyright or usage rights to the photos you upload.

9

Any violation of these guidelines may result in sanctions up to and including permanent suspension of your account. In the event of violations of legal regulations, we may be obliged to report this to the authorities.

Thank you for contributing to good coexistence.
We wish you a good time on Melting.
